Software QA Engineer

 

Position Overview

You will work in a small team of developers creating web applications for the nonprofit market. These include applications that manage benefit events and build online communities for their causes. You are expected to work through the full life cycle of the development including requirements analysis, prototyping, design and implementation using agile approaches, test, and deployment.

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of software test methodologies, QA techniques and tools.
  • Strong experience with QA for web applications, creating test plans, setting up test environments, regression testing and test automation.
  • Very familiar with Microsoft technologies and underlying tools, particularly .NET and SQL Server.
  • Self-directed and prioritizing work independently. Schedule development reliably.
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar. Considerable software QA work experience as a substitute.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience testing software systems. Proven product releases.
  • Communicate effectively between technical and service groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with external clients and partners.
  • Strong collaborative skills and team orientation.
