Presenters:
Sherry Truhlar founded Red Apple Auctions LLC after working over a decade in sales, event management and corporate marketing for two of the largest companies in the USA: General Electric and Koch Industries. She has worked at all sizes and types of auction fundraisers for schools, non-profits, wine groups, churches, and golf events, from 80 bidders to 1200+. In addition to her designation as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), she holds a Professional Certificate in Event Management from George Washington University. Sherry graduated from Missouri Auction School and earned the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) certification from the National Auctioneers Association. She has a B.A. in Communications and a B.S. in Political Science from Emporia State University and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Wollongong in Australia.

Laci Engel, Greater Giving, Area Marketing Manager, has delivered fundraising services to nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C. and Maryland for more than 5 years. Her nonprofit experience and her understanding of benefit auction planning and execution helps nonprofit organizations streamline events and increase fundraising revenue. Laci holds a B.A. in Economics from Willamette University and an Executive M.B.A. from University of Oregon.
