She became a volunteer for Anderson School's fundraising efforts several years ago, serving as Auction Technology Chair in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Phylliss's combination of business and technical expertise enhanced the Anderson School's auction strategy and helped the 2009 auction attain their goal, despite the economic downturn.
Barry Cherwin, Cherwin and Cherwin Auctioneers, specializes in benefit auctions. He served as President of the New York City Auctioneers Association, is a former NYC Bid Calling Champion, and NYC Auctioneer of the Year. Barry has auctioned twelve cans of tuna fish for $520; his tie for $1000; and, at a recent school auction, a parking spot for $8400.
