Recruiting and Retaining Volunteers
03/30/2011 - Webinar
Managing a Mission-Critical Resource
A recent Greater Giving survey identified recruiting and retaining volunteers as one of the most mission-critical issues faced by nonprofits. To address this complex and sensitive issue, we interviewed Greater Giving clients whose fundraising success is dependent on the efforts and skills of hundreds of volunteers. This webinar will share their wisdom, approach, and best practice for leveraging volunteers' time and talent in a way that forges long-term relationships.
At this webinar, you will learn:
- How to focus your volunteering efforts to recruit more volunteers with less effort
- How to encourage volunteers to identify with your cause, driving continuing engagement
- Leveraging your Board to drive volunteering ‘from the top down'
- Understanding volunteer needs and practicing operational transparency
- Structuring volunteer programs and encouraging a feedback cycle
- How donors become volunteers—and vice versa
