Communicating with Event Guests
Registration is the first phase of the event. Guests will come to the Registration table to get their bidder numbers and pick up materials, such as item catalogs. This is also where credit card paying guests would have their card captured in the Auctionpay Terminal. When they walk up to you, you'll greet them, ask for their name, and then look up their bidder number.
Simple communication with your guests is the key to streamlining the Registration process. Follow this three-step script and Registration will be a snap:
- Greet the guest, welcome them to your event and ask: "How will you be paying for items you bid on tonight?", or "If you are successful at bidding tonight, how would you like to pay?"
- Tell the guest: "We can register your card now so that you can avoid the Cashier line at the end of the night."
- Tell the guest: "We'll only charge your card if you make purchases."
